Cedar Organics India was started in 2018 by Divya, after the birth of her kid. The focus of the brand, back then, was on making NATURAL SKIN CARE products that were safe for use on both adults and children.

Although the product packaging was already in glass containers, the focus was not entirely on making ecofriendly products.

A few months down the line, during one of her grocery-runs, Divya realised that she was saving on a lot of unwanted packaging as a direct result of her MAKING her own products. 

This came as an eye-opener to her, since it also made her understand the larger impact this could have if everyone started living a "less-waste" existence. It would mean less waste generated by each family, leading to less waste on the Earth.

This is how Cedar got re-branded as a Ecofriendly products, Zero-waste store.  Divya wanted to build a brand that would not only have a considerable impact on its customers and the planet, but would also spread awareness at the grass-root level.

In her own words - "I realised  that it's not just the product that had to be kept in mind, the entire packaging process needed to be taken care of. "

 The Vegan and Eco-friendly aspects of the brand today, reflects Divya's personal journey over the past 2 years.

 

This is what she wants to pass on to her customers - Products that are carefully handmade, cruelty  free and Earth safe,  making for a complete guilt-free shopping experience  for the end consumer!

Additionally, in order to promote her "Make-it-yourself" mantra, she conducts skin care courses for everyday cleaning and skincare products.

She also has a DIY Youtube Channel and a Blog, where she shares simple, ecofriendly products tutorials and tips, to encourage people to take the first step!
